For today, I wanted to share with you “Moonbeam Serenade“, an astonishing uptempo Island Calypso Latin Soul Mambo track, one of the very first recordings (1958, maybe the 3rd one) of the legendary Trinidadian musician, composer, arranger Fitzroy Vaughan Bryan, leader of the band “Fitz Vaughan Bryan Orchestra” that he formed in 1955 and that was composed with :

– Fitzroy Vaughan Bryan (Leader, Arrangements) ;

– Daniel Albert (Bongos) ;

– Frank Pollard (Congas, Tumbas) ;

– Anderson Perraud (Percussion) ;

– Samuel Reid (Piano) ;

– Annie Haynes, The Strollers (Vocals) ;

Terrific dance floor burner of the genre, hope you’ll like it – Enjoy !

For today, I wanted to share with you “Ana Fi El Houb” (“أنا في الحب”) (“I’m in love“), a splendid & melancholic Oriental Arabic Latin Bolero Jazz track, cover of the all-time classic « Historia De Un Amor », recorded in 1955 by the Panamanian artist Carlos Almaran.

The version presented here was reinterprated in the early 60s by Elie “Lili” Boniche (ليلي بونيش), the legendary Algerian composer & singer of Andalusian-Arab music on the famous Parisian record label Dounia (دنياء) – Enjoy !
