For today, I wanted to share with you “Phone Me Tonight“, a killer balearic Cosmic Afro Synth Disco Soul track with awesome organ parts, taken from an ultra rare single recorded in France in the early 80s by the legendary Cameroonian composer, musician & producer Eko Roosevelt Louis & produced in very small quantities, and that doesn’t appear on any of his albums.

Emmanuel Eteme – Impulse (Cameroun, 1979, Disques Espérance)

For today, I wanted to share with you “Impulse“, a killer Afro Funk Boogie Fusion track, taken from the first album recorded in 1979 by the Cameroonian composer & musician Emmanuel Eteme, who was also a very-well known & gifted football player in the early 70s.

This album features :

Emmanuel Eteme : Vocals, Guitar & Percussions ;

Jacques Mbida : Synth, Drums & Bass ;

Jean-Claude Ebongue : Bass ;

Jimmy Mvondo Mvele : Saxophone ;

Nkotti François & Les Black Styl – Eyeo Me Ndi (Cameroun, 1980s, Editions Retro 2000)

Following this previous post, I wanted to share with you for today “Eyeo Me Ndi“, a bouncy frantic Afro Disco Funk Makossa track, taken from one of the first LP (probably the third ?) from the mythical Cameroonian band “Les Black Styl” from the city of Douala, that included the finest musicians of that era such as Toto Guillaume, Emile Kangue, Guy Lobe & Mouelle Jean and leaded by the legendary composer & musician Nkotti François.

Recorded in Paris (France) in the early 80s, this album is one of their hardest to find – Personal dance floor filler, hope you’ll enjoy !

This post is dedicated to Nkotti François, my Cameroonian father who sadly passed away on August 2021. Miss you so much my friend, but my pain is relieved, I know that you will now sing for the stars !

Peter Bishop & Afro Wave – Mamy Wata (Cameroun, 1989, Equateur)

For today, I wanted to share with you “Mamy Wata“, a catchy Afro Boogie Jazz Funk Synth track with Afrobeat flavors and killer horns, taken from the only album privately recorded and distributed in the 90s by the mysterious musician & composer Peter Bishop and his Afro Wave Orchestra.

This LP is an extremely hard to find masterpiece from start to finish that looks like a lost 90s recording from the Nigerian Legend Fela Kuti so.. Enjoy !
