For today, I wanted to share with you “N’Guem“, a splendid deep bouncy Afro Fusion Jazz from West Africa with catchy synths parts, taken from the only album of the Senegalese band “Walo” (“Nothing”), an obscure LP privately recorded in the city of Saint Louis du Sénégal (also called “Ndar” in wolof langage), probably released in the second part of the 80s and that features great musicians from several mythical bands (Diarama De Saint Louis, Super Etoile de Dakar,…) such as :
Bass : Albert Valfroy ;
Drums : Mark Valfroy ;
Guitar : Claude Guillabert ;
Keyboards : Benjamin Valfroy ;
Percussion : Ibrahima Diop ;
Vocals : Ami Bodian, Awa Cheikh Sow, Dida “Ibrahima” Sarr, Ndeye Fatou Sow, Pap “Beckr” Sow ;
Really hard to find record nowadays with a gorgeous cover art, hope you’ll like it – Enjoy !
