For today, I wanted to share with you « A Non Yi Go », a powerful syncopated psychedelic Afro Funk Sato track with Afrobeat flavors, killer horns & guitar parts, taken from the first album of the Beninese composer & musician Migan Celestin (who was formerly part of « Les Commandos », the band founded by the mythical beninese musician Theophile « El Rego » Do Rego), out in the late 70s on the Ivorian record label « Papa-Disco » – Enjoy !

John Migan & l’Orchestre Sodo-Sodo – Mayewo (Benin, 1980, Sodogil Editions)

Fort today, I wanted to share with you “Mayewo“, a dope uplifting Cosmic Afro Soul Disco Funk track with killer synth solo parts, taken from the only vinyl recorded, pressed & distributed in 1980 between Lagos (Nigeria), Abidjan (Ivory Coast) & London (UK) by the Beninese singer & drummer John Migan (who collaborated with many legendary African musicians such as Fela Anukulapo Kuti, Theophile “El Rego” Do Rego, Francis Lougah), before he became an evangelist in the Mid 80s.

Still active today today & very prolific in both domains, he continues to release religious music.

Another wicked track from Benin by the very well known almighty Orchestre Poly Rythmo de Cotonou, conducted by Melome Clement !
This afro disco track is taken from an album out in 1979 on the SATEL record label to celebrate the 11 years of the band (their first recordings were made in 1968 !), hope you will like it !
