N.S.T. Cophie’s – Elle (Ivory Coast, 1983, N.S.T. Cophie’s Self-Released)

For today, I wanted to share with you “Elle“, a catchy 80s Afro Electro Boogie Funk Synth Balearic stepper, taken from the 2nd album self-produced & recorded in 1983 by the Ivorian composer & musician Ernest Kouadio Koffi, better known as “N.S.T. Cophie’s“, part of the well-known west african band Bozambo, and who was also the half brother of the legendary musician Alpha Blondy (Seydou Koné) from Ivory Coast.

Including the mythical Cameroonian musician Emmanuel N’Djoké “Manu” Dibango on the chorus, this album was backed by great musicians :

Following this former article, I wanted to share with you for today “Didi Kowo“, a powerful psychedelic Afro Psych Soul Funk track with killer organ parts & 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐤𝐨𝐮𝐬 flavors, recorded in the 80s by the Ivorian musician & composer Jean Gnamaka Guéhi, recorded in the 80s on the only maxi single from on the obscure local label “GTK Production“.

For today, I wanted to share with you “La Gloire“, a, underground catchy 90s Afro Rap Electro Funk Smurf track with fresh & dope drum machines basslines & DX7 synth use, taken from the 1st album recorded in 1993 by the still active today choregrapher, author, composer & zouglou (musical genre from Ivory Coast) artist Krédou “Ziké” Laurent with the help of the producer, sound engineer & machines programmer Bamba Moussa Yang.

For today, I wanted to share with you “Kété Kété Bô Ô“, a catchy Afro Boogie Disco Funk Synth track by the legendary Ivorian composer & musician Ahui N’Goran Marcel (better known in his musical career as “Pierre Antoine“) and backed by the greatest musicians of that era such as Hilaire Penda & Jules Kamga (Cameroon) and Denis Hekimian (France).

Recorded in Paris (France) in the 80s at the famous “Studio Iguane“, this song was destinated to be a tribute to “Les Eléphants” (the Elephants), the Ivorian national soccer team – Enjoy !
