Theodore Boumbhe – La Guerre Et La Paix Ne Sont Pas Pareilles (Ivory Coast, 1970s, SID – Societe Ivoirienne Du Disque)

Best known for his hit “Coco tu es partout“, Théodore Boumbhé – also nicknamed has “the guitar that speaks” – was the sole son of a noble family. Playing guitar since he was fifteen, he traveled widely throughout Africa, playing with bands & performing solos.

For today, I wanted to share with you “La Guerre Et La Paix Ne Sont Pas Pareilles” (“War & Peace Are Not The Same“), a breezing catchy psychedelic Afro Folksy Soul track with nice horns & organ parts – Enjoy !
