Kallé & L’African Team – Minueyo Boongalo (Democratic Republic of the Congo / Former Zaïre, 1960s, AMB)

For today, I wanted to share with you “Minueyo Boongalo“, an uplifting 60s Afro Latin Boogaloo Jazz track with strong Cuban influences, taken from a super hard to find compilation recorded in the 60s by Joseph Kabasele “Kallé” & l’African Team, a bunch of legendary African musicians that included greatest names such as Manu Dibango, Tabu Ley Rochereau, Joseph “Mujos” MulamaJean Kwami Munsi – Enjoy !

Manu Dibango et son African Soul Quintet – Soulogie (Cameroun, 1961, Ngoma)

In tribute to the Cameroonian musician legend Emmanuel “Manu” N’Djoké Dibango, who passed away today, I’ve decided to share with you for the first time online the outstanding Jazz track “Soulogie, taken from his impossible to find first single ever (I think), out in 1961 – Enjoy !

I found this record a few years ago, at a former record store owner’s house in the city of Garoua (capital of the North Region of Cameroon), after a 18 hours train & bus travel from the city of Yaoundé !
