This album, out at the time on very small promotional quantities, features :

Following to this former article, I wanted to share with you for today “We The Youth“, another killer groovy Tropical Island Funk Soul track with Soca flavors, recorded in the 70s by “Exile House“, the West Indian band leaded by the Dominican singer Julie Mourillon & that included musicians from DominicaGuadeloupe & Martinique and that you probably better know under the name “Exile One“.

For today, I wanted to share with you “Taratasy Maitso“, an incredible deep bouncy Island Afro Soul Salegy Funk Folk track with island Jazz flavors, recorded in the late 80s by the legendary Madagascan composer & musician Eusèbe Jaojoby & that only appears on this obscure compilation out in 1987, financed thanks to the support of the national airline company “Air Madagascar“.

For today, I wanted to share with you “Clin D’Oeil A Luc“, a deep balearic 90s electronic Island Synth Maloya Jazz Funk track, taken from the second album recorded in 1990 by the composer & musician Jean-Marc “Marco” Payet from Reunion island (Indian Ocean) probably in tribute to the legendary reunionese composer & violinist Marie Emilien Luçay Donat, better known as “Luc Donat“.

This song has the same vibes than the best ones from the mythical reunionese band “Ziskakan“, that I also really love – Hope you’ll like it, enjoy !

For today, I wanted to share with you for today “Mo Amelie“, a deep beautiful syncopated Island Sega Soul Folk Jazz track, recorded in 1975 in Paris at the legendary “Davout” recording studios by an ambassador of the music from Mauritius (Indian Ocean island), the composer & singer Jean Desire Clarel Edouard Betsy, better known as “Clarel Betsy“.

Out as a single at the time, this song only appears in a 12 inches format on the compilation presented here, out in the mid 70s on the Mauritian record label “Do Re Mi“, with a gorgeous cover art – Enjoy !
