For today, I wanted to share with you “Addeysh Kan Fi Nass” (“قديش كان في ناس”, what could be translated by “how many people where here ?” in Lebanese Arabic langage), a mesmerizing & bewitching Oriental Arabic Jazz track with Latin vibes & beautiful piano parts, recorded in 1973 by the Lebanese Diva Nuhad Ḥaddad (betterly known as “Fairuz“), and composed by the mythical Assi & Mansour Rahbani Brothers for the 1973 Lebanese music festival of Baalbeck.

For today, I wanted to share with you “Hold Your Lover Tight“, a incredible refreshing & bouncy Afrobeat Highlife Soul Jazz track, taken from an ultra hard to find album recorded in the 70s by the legendary & very prolific Ghanaian band “African Brothers Band International of Ghana“, founded in 1963 by Patrick Nana Kwame Ampadu & Eddie Donkor amongst other mythical musicians.

This album features :

  • Bass Guitar – Joe Opoku Appiah
  • Drums – Baba Tunde
  • Guitar – Eddie Donkor, Jacob Osae, Nana Ampadu, Nana Amoako
