Fairuz – Al Bosta (Lebanon, 1979, Zida) فيروز – البوسطة (Lebanon, 1979, Zida)

Following to this former post I wanted to share with you for today “Al Bosta” (“البوسطة” for our Arabic speaking friends), a splendid Middle-Eastern Jazz Funk track recorded in 1979 by the legendary Lebanese Diva Fairuz (فيروز or “turquoise blue” in English), composed and arranged by her eldest son Ziad Rahbani (زياد الرحباني), also one of the greatest names of Lebanon’s musical history.

This song is taken from the mythical album “Wahdon“, recorded during the same session than Ziad Rahbani‘s Masterpiece “Abu Ali“.

I found that long time wanted piece during my latest record digging trip in Lebanon (august 2021), so lucky I felt on that day.. hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do !
