Bentho Gustave Titiou & l’International Poly Rythmo – Agnon Djidjo (Tu As Bon Caractère) (Benin, 1978, L.I.R.)

For today, I wanted to share with you “Agnon Djidjo“, an atomic tropical Afro Latin Salsa Funk Cavacha dance floor stormer, taken from the only solo album recorded in 1978 by the legendary composer, guitarist and bass player Bentho Gustave “Titiou”, who began his career in the 60s with the beninese Band “Super Star de Ouidah“.

Shortly after, he founded the almighty “Poly Rhythmo de Cotonou” orchestra in 1968 (formerly “Sunny Blacks Band“) with other mythical musicians such as :

Melome Clement ;

Eskil Lohento ;

Amenoudji Joseph “Vicky” ;

Zoundegnon Bernard “Papillon” ;

Yehouessi Leopold ;

Pierre Loko.

who also all play on the album presented here – Enjoy !
