Papa Wemba Le Kuru Yaka & Les Djamuskets De Paris – Zea (Democratic Republic Of The Congo, 1982, Le Passeport)

For today, I wanted to share with you “Zea“, an awesome deep African Soukous from the Democratic Republic of Congo (former Zaire), that quickly turns after the first part to a Psychedelic Funky Soul track with mind-blowing guitar parts, taken from an album privately recorded & released in 1982 by the legendary Congolese composer & musician Jules Shungu Wembadio Pene Kikumba, better known as “Papa Wemba“.

Serious dancefloor stormer here, hope you’ll like it !

Le Diamono – M’Diaye Kandiourane (Senegal, 1975, Soul Posters/Musiclub)

For today, I wanted to share with you “M’Diaye Kandiourane“, a stunning psychedelic Afro Mbalax Soul Funk Jazz track, recorded by the mythical Senegalese band Le Diamono (or “Super Diamono” or “Super Diamono de Dakar“) founded by the mythical composer & musicien Omar Pene.

This song only appears on that single out in 1975 and distributed only in Senegal & France at the time, and that is probably the first recorded of the group.

This song tells the story of three young people who left the village of M’beri in search of fortune, but who found nothing but disappointment along the way.

This debut single of the band is virtually impossible to find nowadays, hope you’ll like it – Enjoy !

Omar Khorshid – Johnny Guitar (Egypt, 1974, Parlophone / Voix De L’Orient)

Following to that former post, I wanted to share with you today my favorite version of the all-time classic standard “Johnny Guitar“, a song originally written in 1954 by the American singer Peggy Lee, covered countless times & reinterpreted here in an outstanding Middle Eastern Psychedelic Electric Surf way by Egyptian guitar hero Omar Khorshid – Enjoy !
