For today, I wanted to share with you “Pays Femm“, an instant feel-good summer Island Disco Boogie Funk anthem, taken from the only album by the underground Haitian band “Mystik“, privately recorded & released in 1980 on their own record label “Espri Records & Tapes“.

For today, I wanted to share with you “Panno Kaye“, a dreamy West Indian spiritual Fusion Funk Soul Ambiant Synth track from Haiti (Ayiti, in the Antilles), taken from the only & invisible album from the obscure Haitian band U-Turn, recorded in 1988 in Brooklyn (United States), leaded by the musician & producer Alix Jacques, and composed by some of the former members of the country’s legendary historical musical formations such as Djet-X, Alix Jacques Colé Colé Band, Les Freres Dejean & Gary French & The Tropical Sextet – Enjoy !

Blo – Make Your Body Dance (Armand de Préseau NYE 2023 Edit) (Nigeria, 1979, Afrodisia)

For today, and to festively close 2022, I wanted to share with you an edit I made of “Make Your Body Dance“, an instant feel-good & powerful dancefloor friendly Afro Disco Boogie track, taken from the fifth album of the band BLO, in reference to the initials of its founders :

Berkley “Ike” Jones (guitar)

Olaoluwa “Laolu Akins” Akintobi (drums) ;

Mike “Gbenga” Odumosu (bass) ;

Odumosu left the band later and was replaced by Lemmy “Otu” Udofa (also known as “Lemmy Jackson” in his 80s solo carrer !)

For today, I wanted to share with you “Zedaga“, an obscure killer Electronic Afro Funk Boogie track with killer Synth & drum machines breaks, taken from an ultra rare LP localy recorded by the Beninese composer & musician Akoha Ambroise apparently in the early 90s, and that never had a proper commercial release, out only at the time as a test press in the early 90s – Enjoy !

For today, I wanted to share with you « An Ba Bwa », a killer & catchy Dancefloor Caribbean Cosmic Digital Synth Zouk Funk Balearic track, recorded & privately released in the 80s in Guadeloupe (in the French West Indies) by the mysterious composer & musician Paul Noglotte, who only seems to have issue the double-sider presented here (any further informations are welcome !) with a gorgeous cover art !

This song was co-arranged by the legendary Guadeloupean composer Guy Jacquet, Zouk hero & former guitarist of the band « Les Vikings de la Guadeloupe » – Enjoy !
