Max et Henri – Lespwa Ka Fe Viv (Guadeloupe, 1982, Disques Debs International)

Late track composed by the two legends from the french West Indies Max Severin and Henri Debs, “Lespwa Ka Fe Viv” is a splendid spiritual Gwo Ka Jazz track with funky bass and flute parts that I wanted to make you discover today – Enjoy !!

Marmay – Ti Frer (La Reunion, 1985, Marmay)

Marmay” was a band from La Reunion island (Indian Ocean), composed by 3 members of the same family : Theresien Chamand (Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar), Clermont Chamand (Harmonica, Violin, Electric and Acoustic Guitar) and Pascale Chamand (Flute and Artwork).

They released only one autoproduced album in 1985, “Ote Kreol“.

As a tribute to the memory of Clement “l’Indien” Chamand, who died last week, I decided to make you discover “Ti Frer“, a splendid deep psychedelic Maloya song – Rest in Peace, l’Indien.
